S. K. Patel institutes of Management and computer studies (SKPIMCS ) MBA is one of the premier management institutes in Gujarat affiliated to KSV University, approved by AICTE and imparting a two-year full-time MBA programme.

SKPIMCS-MBA believes that strong links with the corporate world are one of the foundations of a good B-school. In line with this philosophy, it tries to create platforms for interaction between students and practitioners from industry. The Corporate Flock and Alumni Meet is one such platform where current students can interact with their own alumni who are now part of the corporate world as well as benefit from the interaction with stalwarts from various sectors.

The Annual Function aims to celebrate and applaud the achievements of students during the past year so as to motivate them even further. Various trophies, medals and certificates were awarded to the students in recognition of their academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements.

Industrial Visit: Every year the institute conducts industrial visits at highly reputed organizations like Pepsi, Zydus Cadila, Amul, Claris life science,The Times of India, Radio Mirchi. These visits help the students to get the practical andreal corporate world knowledge.

Workshops: Institute is organizing workshops on Entrepreneurship Development, Business Etiquettes and Interview Skills on continuous basis to sharpen their skills and make them ready for the Industry.

Corporate lecture series: It has been designed to sensitize the students to the recent trends affecting the corporate world. In this series of seminars. Every Saturday we organize lectures on special electives. Experts from the industry are invited share their experiences on the same.

Presentation series: Students are required to prepare a presentation on contemptory topic in group on the given topic. Objective of presentation series is to sharpen their presentation skills and to make them aware about current market scenario.

The Case Study Method The case study method is utilized to meet the requirements of problem solving, decision making and implementing skills with theoretical knowledge by applying concepts and analyzing real life problems and making managerial decisions for resolving such problems.

The Group Projects: Working with peers provides with unique opportunity for accelerated professional and personal goal, a major component of course, the group project helps the student to develop and refine skills of management in diverse group.

The Winter Internship: Since last two years the institute also started Winter Internship Program which is of 2 to 3 weeks wherein the students are required to visit any manufacturing units and prepare short report relating the theoretical aspects of an organization.

The Summer Internship: In addition to class room teaching, the students undergo summer training for 2 months at the end of their second semester. The summer assignments provide students with ample opportunity to add, to innovate and to implement ideas and techniques imbibed the first year.

The Movie Club: In the movie club, students are shown different motivational and inspirational movies which convey some message to the students and give students learning lessons on resource management, team building, team work and many other management related issues. At the end of the movie session the learning from the movie are discussed which help the students to understand different corporate scenarios.

The Book Review Session: It is said that books are our best friend. Here, students are divided in the groups and allotted different books having management lessons and the groups have to make the presentation on the learning of that book. A question-answer and discussion session is also held at the end of the presentation.

Live projects: In their pursuit of excellence, students undertake live corporate projects. Continuous interaction with the industry strengthen their practical orientation and help them develop as future managers. So, far students have undertaken live projects with Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd., One Advertising, Green Enterprise, NGO, Hitachi, Pepsi Co.

Mentorship: The Institute has the syndicated room for small group experimental and interactive learning and counseling.

SIRAJ: The Siraj function was attended by over Three hundred invitees from various corporate houses and academic institutions from all over Gujarat as well as faculty, staff and students of KSV University.

It was followed by a gala dinner for all the invited guests at the SKPIMCS Campus.

A melodious musical evening was lined up as a fitting finale to the grand event.

The entire event was appreciated from all quarters as an excellent way for students and alumni to interact with each other and for corporate executives to network with their counterparts in other companies. It was indeed a memorable experience for all present.

The Entrepreneurship Workshop: The aim of this workshop was to help participants understand the opportunities in corporate and business entrepreneurship and encourage them to develop entrepreneurship as a capability.

The various subjects are going to be discussed during the workshop i.e Growth and Opportunities in Advertising, Media, PR, MR and other communication related areas, Entrepreneurial Behaviour and competence, Generation and Analysis of Business Plan, Sources of Financial Assistance, among others.

Its enabling all the participants to develop a better understanding of entrepreneurship.

Research @ SKPIMCS-MBA: This is SKPIMCS-MBA's attempt at developing innovations in management practices and leveraging the expertise of corporate partners. Five research cells have been set up in the areas of

  • Media and Advertising
  • These cells actively interact with companies in relevant sectors and undertake live research projects, organize guest talks and take up joint research projects. The activities of these research cells have provided an impetus to the academic Support activities at the institute. The students have undertaken live projects at reputed companies.

    S. K. Patel institute is a private & independent higher education constitutent college of Kadi Sarva Vishvavidyalaya, situated on18 acres of picturesque land.     Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya is a University established vide Gujarat State Government Act 21 of 2007 in May 2007 and approved by UGC (ref F. 9-18/2008(cpp-1) March 19,2009). The University has been setup by Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal, a trust with more than 94 years of philanthropic existence.
